Swedish VAT Reporting

Swedish Legislation for POS Systems

In Sweden the Swedish Tax Authorities issue the framework for which all POS merchants must comply to be compliant with the overall legislation “Kassalagen”  ( POS legislation).

Kassalagen and SKV FS 2009:1 regulate what POS vendors must comply with in order to operate in the Swedish market as an approved POS system.

The SKV regulation FS 2009:1 specifies the functionality of the POS and different types of mandatory reporting requirements such a Z -report etc.that needs to be supported

If you are planning to have a cash register then you must report this to the Swedish Tax Agency. The easiest way to do this is via the Cash Register e-service. Here you are able to certify the cash register, modify information and report any malfunctions of the cash register.
